In 1997, IEWS opened Regional Collaboration Program as graduate school to reinforce local research and cultivate human resources and contribute to society

    IEWS have two representative centers.

One is Leadership Center established to foster Yonsei students as future leaders. The other is Yonsei-SERI EU Center to conduct research on EU. After the endorsement from EC is terminated, EU center would continue its research on EU as Yonsei-EU Jean-Monnet Centre of Excellence. Aside from these, there are also other 13 regional research centers in Canada, Russia and Central Asia, East Asia, Japan, India and Southwest Asia, USA, Middle East and Africa, Australia, and so on.

  • As for interdisciplinary research, there are ten research centers namely Maritime Affairs, Comparative Cultural Studies, NPO Studies, Yonsei RCE, Peace and Security Studies, International Development and Cooperation Program, Air Power Program, and Environment, Energy and Human Resource Development Center.

Global Economic Review (GER) registered in SSCI’s Global Economic Review, and 동서연구 (East and West Studies) registered by National Research Foundation of Korea are the two periodicals of IEWS.

IEWS will continue to serve as a hub of research that creates new paradigms for sustainable human society development. We look forward to your interest and encouragement. Thank you.
